Artist's Notes:
While on vacation in Washington, DC, my husband and I toured the interior of the beautiful
Washington National Cathedral.
Following our tour, we strolled outside to enjoy the exterior.
With the memory of the colors of the stained glass windows still fresh in my mind, I gazed up at the Cathedral while standing among the roses in
the Bishop’s Garden.
The Cathedral seemed to sparkle like a beautiful jewel capturing the warm sunlight.
From this memory, I returned home and painted my impression of this day, calling it "Washington’s Jewel".
